On August 2nd, 2024 around 6:08pm,  Rescue Engine 18 and Chief 18 (Postell) (as the Volunteer Duty Chief) responded to a house fire in Company 19’s area in the 13300 BLK of Mockingbird Ln. The Volunteer Duty Chief arrived to a 2 story single family with smoke showing from the second floor and established the Bowie command. On scene, the crew took the second due engine assignment where they stretched a backup line to the second floor. Crews located a room off in the Alpha quadrant which was quickly knocked. All searches were negative. 18 units remained on scene to complete overhaul.
