On Saturday January 24, 2025 shortly before 1:00pm, before the snowcreate hit, Rescue Engine 18 was alerted to respond on the Box Alarm in Company 48’s area in 6100 block of Cipriano Road for a house fire. First arriving units arrived to find smoke showing from the roof and quickly identified the fire was contained to the attic area. The crew of Rescue Engine 18 was assigned as the search company and completed primary searches throughout the structure which were negative. Chief 18A (Wood) responded as well and operated at the command post assisting incident command.
