At approximately 6:30 on February 5th, 2026, units with the 1st Battalion Chief were alerted for a garage fire in the 1300 Block of Kings Heather Dr in Co. 46’s area. Engine 181 and Chief 18 responded with the engine company second due on the box. Engine Co. 46 arrived to a 2 story single family with fire showing from the garage. The Engine Company took their assigned position as the second engine, picking up 46’s supply line and stretching a backup line to the first floor, where they worked to control extension. The Chief was assigned as the division 2 supervisor. This was 181’s first fire since returning to service last week from a motor rebuild. We are happy to have our war wagon back on the streets where she belongs.
