Just prior to 8:00 am on March 23, 2026, Public Safety Communications dispatched box alarm 28-01 for a house fire in the area of Buchanan St/Ardwick Ardmore Rd, bringing Truck 18 as the 2nd Truck. While en route multiple callers advised that the neighbor’s house was on fire and kids were possibly trapped in the structure. Engine Company 30 arrived in the 7400 BLK Allison St to find a 1 story, single family dwelling with smoke showing and started the Working Fire Dispatch. Truck 18 arrived as dispatched and took their pre-assigned 2nd truck duties. The inside team reported inside to complete searches and open up for the engine companies, while the driver assisted with the removal of 2 members from Engine Company 30 before an evacuation was ordered. The crew was redeployed and assisted with the remainder of extinguishment and overhaul before returning to Glenn Dale.
