On August 4th, 2024 just before 5:00 this afternoon, Public Safety Communications dispatched box 18-09 for a house on fire in the 3100 BLK of Enterprise Rd, bringing Engine 181 and Tower 18 as the first due engine and truck, with Paramedic Ambulance 18 due as well as the transport unit. Company 18 arrived to a 2 story, single family dwelling with fire showing from the attached garage. The wagon laid out from the bottom of the driveway and stretched the 200’ 1-1/2” attack line, while the tower’s inside team immediately proceeded inside to begin searches of the structure. The wagon crew deployed the line to knock the bulk of the fire. The tower’s outside team removed the garage doors to make access easier. The bulk of the fire was knocked within a few minutes and extension to the first and second floors was minimal. 18 units remained on scene for 2-1/2 hours completing overhaul and hitting hot spots before returning to quarters.
