On December 13th, 2023, just after nightly housework was completed, Engine 181, Squad 18 and Chief 18A responded to a first due box alarm in the 11400 BLK of Dundee Dr. The Deputy Chief arrived to a 2 story split level home with smoke showing from the delta side, and established the Glenn Dale command. Engine 181 laid out from a hydrant down the street and stretched the 150’ 1-1/2” bumper line into the garage on side charlie to quickly extinguish the fire. Squad 18 arrived simultaneously and completed searches, which were all negative, and opened up to check for fire extension. The assignment was quickly scaled back to 2&2 and all units returned to service a short time later.
