On January 13, 2025, just before 9:30 PM, Public Safety Communications dispatched Box 4801 for a house fire, bringing Rescue Engine 18 as the search company, Chief 18 (Postell as the Volunteer Duty Chief) and Chief 18B (Meullion) also responding. Engine 48 arrived to a one-story single family with fire showing. The Rescue Engine was assigned to complete primary searches in the basement, where the crew found an unchecked fire controlled by the Hook & Can firefighter until a hose line could be deployed to the basement. After completing searches of the basement, the crew completed primaries on Division 1 which were negative.
