Tower 18 and Chief 18B (Meullion) responded for the report of a basement on fire in the 11000 Block of Lake Overlook Place Co. 46’s first due. Engine Co. 46 arrived on scene of a 2 story middle of the row town home with smoke showing from the front door. Upon completing the 360, crews confirmed a working basement fire. The B Chief arrived and was assigned safety. The Tower arrived moments later and laddered side Charlie of the townhome and completed secondary searches which proved negative. The fire was extinguished and extensive overhaul was completed. Units from Glenn Dale operated for approximately 30 minutes before the assignment was scaled back.
