On June 4, 2024 Tower 18, Chief 18 and Chief 18A were dispatched to the 9700 Block of Good Luck Road for the hazmat box. The call was dispatched after a patient was self transported to an area hospital after ingesting an unknown chemical. Upon arrival of units, the building was quickly evacuated and all occupants were moved to a safe location. Hazmat companies that responded took samples from multiple chemicals in apartments, and determined that there was no risk to any resident. When the building was deemed safe, residents were allowed back into the building and command was terminated.
