On January 24, 2025 Just prior to 7:45am, Box 28-06 was dispatched for fire coming from the roof of a home in the 8300 BLK of Nicholson Street in New Carrollton. Rescue Engine 18 was due as the search company on the initial assignment. Engine Company 48 arrived to a 2 story split level with fire showing from the roof. The Rescue Engine arrived a short time later and completed primary and secondary searches of the structure which were negative and began opening up the ceilings on the 2nd floor. Fire was found throughout the attic and was quickly knocked. The crew from 18 operated for approximately 45 minutes before returning to Glenn Dale Blvd.
